About Swansacre

team

Swansacre has been a part of the Kinross-shire preschool education scene for over 40 years. Based in the heart of Kinross in a quiet residential street, we are well known amongst the local communities that make up Kinross-shire.

We are a registered charitable organisation that employs 3 part time staff and is run by a committee of volunteers. Our aim is to keep our fees as low as possible so that our sessions are accessible to all. Our sessions operate round the school term calendar on a daily basis.

Children will experience a range of activities when with us such as painting, water play, play dough, building blocks etc as well as outdoor activities in our large, safe back garden. Weather permitting, we aim to be outside with the children for half of each session.

Although centred around fun and play, our sessions are planned in advance to include seasonal topics, with structured breaks for snacks and strict hygiene rules. Parents can leave their children in our care, with confidence that their child is safe and well cared for.

As well as two playleaders at each session, we have some other helpers – sometimes someone’s mummy or daddy, or a granny or childminder, or one of our ‘special helpers’ (VDCs). All the grown-ups are there to help you have a lovely time at Swansacre – just ask!

We are always looking for new ideas for fundraising and offers of help from our parent members.  If you feel you can offer any help to our organisation, please contact a committee or staff member.  Details of our staff and committee members are available on one of our notice boards in the entrance to Swansacre.

We regularly take part in other community events and activities, such as the annual Kinross Show and Feel Good Fair.

Our facilities are also available for private hire. Please contact our Facilities Coordinator for further information.
